Water and Fire are the essential elements of dyeing and transformation. This top is hand-woven in wool and cotton and dyed with natural ingredients. Using a double cloth technique, these tops are crafted without structural seams, thereby avoiding cutting and reducing waste.
The red hues are derived from the dye plant “ruiva-dos-tintureiros” and brazilwood, while the blues are obtained from indigo and pau-campeche. Both pieces are unique. These colors are more vulnerable to the effects of time, washing, and sunlight; therefore, these items should be cared for with cold washing and drying in the shade. Nonetheless, it is both possible and normal for the colors to change over time.
